Per the CDC Coronavirus FAQ Page:
“There is no evidence that the virus that causes COVID-19 can be spread to people through the water in pools, hot tubs, or water playgrounds. Additionally, proper operation of these aquatic venues and disinfection of the water (with chlorine or bromine) should inactivate the virus.”
+ REDUCED CLASS SIZES: Class sizes have been reduced to the following student numbers:
+ CLASS POD DISTANCING: Instruction lanes have been spaced apart from each other so that classes in lanes next to each other begin and run from opposite sides of the pool.
+ REDUCED NUMBER OF INSTRUCTORS: AquaTech has reduced the number of instructors during operational hours to decrease the total number of occupants in the building at one time.
+ REDUCED STUDENT CROSS-OVER: In an effort to avoid crossover of swimmers as much as possible, we will not allow the scheduling of makeup lessons until October 1, 2020. Customers registered for lessons prior to October 1, 2020 will still be able to report absences and accrue makeup tokens, however, will not be able to schedule them until October 2020. Exception: Makeup tokens can be used in place of payment for AquaRec / AquaBaby reservations.
AIR DISINFECTION SYSTEMS:
SURFACE DISINFECTION SYSTEMS & PROTOCOL:
+ Ultraviolet Light (UV) Disinfection Systems – The Best Known Killer of COVID-19 – we use a Quad Reactor Neptune Benson UV System which blasts our water 8-10 times a day! These best of breed UV systems utilize the power of the sun to kill 99.9% of all viruses and bacteria on contact.
+ Water Chemistry – We utilize Chlorine and Muriatic acid, etc. to manage our pool chemistry and meticulously monitor our pool chemistry with the support of Certified Pool Operators.
